Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Manager – Custom Clearance, where prior CHA (Customs House Agent) experience is essential. The manager will oversee end-to-end customs clearance operations, including documentation review, coordination with customs authorities, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include supervising CHA teams, assigning workloads, monitoring clearance status, and resolving escalations related to shipments. The role involves regular interaction with clients to clarify requirements, provide status updates, and ensure a smooth customer experience. The manager will also collaborate with internal logistics, finance, and operations teams,



track performance metrics, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in customs-related activities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret customs regulations, review documentation, and troubleshoot clearance issues.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to interact effectively with clients, customs officials, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service and Customer Experience skills to manage expectations, handle queries, and maintain positive client relationships.
- Candidates should possess Project Management abilities to plan clearance activities, prioritize shipments, and meet timelines.
- Proven CHA experience with in-depth knowledge of Indian customs laws, import/export procedures, and related documentation is required.
- Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced setting, make timely decisions, and lead a diverse operational team.
- Relevant academic background in logistics, supply chain, commerce, or a related field; professional certifications in customs or logistics are an advantage.
