Centralized Responsibility Across Multiple Manufacturing Facilities
As Sagar Business Ventures Limited expands its fabrication and steel processing operations, we are establishing a centralized planning and optimization function based in Bhubaneswar.
We seek an analytical, technically competent skilled capable of optimizing production allocation, material utilization, cutting efficiency and manufacturing costs across our existing and upcoming facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning
- Allocate orders among manufacturing plants and external job-work centres.
- Optimize plant loading based on production capacity, machinery availability, cost and delivery schedules.
- Monitor production progress and ensure timely execution.
Material Planning & Optimization
- Determine optimal raw material allocation to different manufacturing locations.
- Coordinate material requirements with purchase and production teams.
- Reduce unnecessary inter-plant material movements and logistics costs.
- Optimize stock utilization across the manufacturing network.
Cutting Efficiency & Wastage Control
- Develop efficient cutting plans for plates, structural sections, rebars and other materials.
- Maximize material yield through cutting, nesting and batch optimization.
- Monitor offcuts, scrap generation and reusable remnants.
- Analyze planned versus actual material consumption.
Operational Performance
- Monitor plant capacity utilization and manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop management dashboards for material yield, wastage, production costs and delivery performance.
- Identify opportunities to reduce conversion costs and improve productivity.
- Evaluate in-house versus outsourced manufacturing economics.
Candidate Profile
- Preferably 5–8 years of relevant production planning or industrial engineering experience.
- Degree/diploma in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication and cutting optimization.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, Excel and nesting software.
- Experience coordinating multiple manufacturing facilities is advantageous.
- Willingness to visit manufacturing locations regularly.
