Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and organized Logistics Executive to manage daily dispatch operations, transportation planning, route optimization, delivery schedules, freight costing, and coordination with transporters and customers. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of PP woven fabrics, woven bags, and other packaging products while maintaining proper documentation and efficient vehicle utilization.

Key Responsibilities

- Route Planning & Optimization: Plan efficient delivery routes to minimize transportation costs and ensure timely deliveries.

- Dispatch Planning: Prepare daily dispatch plans based on customer orders, production schedules, delivery commitments, and vehicle availability.

- Delivery Scheduling: Coordinate delivery dates and schedules with customers, transporters, and the internal sales and production teams.

- Freight Costing: Calculate freight charges based on distance, vehicle type, load quantity, weight, volume, and delivery location.

- Transportation Management: Arrange trucks and other vehicles according to dispatch requirements and negotiate freight rates with transporters.

- Cost Control: Monitor transportation expenses, compare freight rates, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize vehicle load utilization.

- Vehicle Coordination: Ensure timely vehicle placement, loading, dispatch, transit tracking, and delivery confirmation.

- Documentation: Prepare and verify delivery challans, invoices, e-way bills, LR/GR receipts, transport documents, and other dispatch-related paperwork, as applicable.

- Shipment Tracking: Track consignments and proactively communicate delays, transit issues, or delivery changes to the concerned departments and customers.

- Coordination: Work closely with production, stores, sales, accounts, and customer service teams to ensure smooth dispatch operations.

- Transporter Management: Maintain relationships with transporters, maintain freight rate records, and monitor transporter performance.

- MIS & Reporting:



Maintain daily dispatch reports, freight cost records, vehicle utilization reports, delivery status, and transportation expense statements.

- Issue Resolution: Handle delivery delays, vehicle shortages, transit damages, shortages, and other logistics-related issues.

- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company dispatch procedures, transportation requirements, and applicable documentation norms.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate in any discipline; a diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Operations will be an advantage.

- 2–5 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, or transportation management, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging industry.

- Experience in PP woven bags, PP woven fabric, plastic packaging, textiles, or a similar manufacturing industry will be preferred.

- Strong knowledge of route planning, vehicle scheduling, freight costing, and transporter coordination.

- Good negotiation skills and the ability to control transportation costs.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, including freight calculations, data management, and reporting.

- Experience with ERP systems or dispatch management software will be an advantage.

- Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple dispatches and meet tight delivery deadlines.
