Role Description This is a full time, on-site role based in Coimbatore for a Lighting Designer cum Technician. The role involves designing lighting concepts for residential and luxury spaces, preparing layouts, and selecting fixtures that align with architectural and interior design requirements.

The Lighting

Designer cum Technician will program and configure lighting control systems, perform installations, testing, and commissioning of lighting and AV-related equipment, and ensure proper integration with home automation platforms.

Responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, architects, and interior designers, conducting site visits and measurements, troubleshooting technical issues,



and providing user training and post-installation support. The role also requires maintaining documentation, adhering to project timelines, and following safety and quality standards on-site.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Lighting Design and Architectural Lighting, with the ability to translate design briefs into functional and aesthetic lighting plans.
- Candidates should possess skills in Lighting Control and Lighting systems, including programming, configuration, and troubleshooting of intelligent lighting solutions.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Interior Design principles, enabling effective collaboration with design and architecture professionals.
- Candidates should possess basic understanding of electrical and low-voltage systems relevant to lighting and AV installations.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar), and comfort working with technical drawings.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on-site.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Architecture, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience in lighting or AV integration is an advantage.
- Effective communication skills in English (and local languages as applicable), and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
