Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer to design, deploy, optimize, and maintain enterprise-grade database solutions using the Azure Data Platform. The role will focus on database architecture,

performance tuning, data migration, Azure SQL Management, schema design, high availability, disaster recovery, security, and automated database deployment pipeline management.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise database solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL

Managed Instance, and SQL Server.
- Perform schema design, normalization, data modeling, and develop effective stored procedures, functions,

and triggers using T-SQL.
- Conduct deep-level query optimization, execution plan analysis, index tuning, and database resource usage

troubleshooting.
- Implement and validate backup, point-in-time restore, disaster recovery strategies, geo-replication, and

failover groups.

Required Technical Skills





Skill Area Expected Experience

Azure SQL Database Platform Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database,

Azure SQL Managed Instance, Elastic Pools, and

SQL Server on Azure VMs.

T-SQL &

- Development Expert knowledge of complex T-SQL querying, stored procedures, functions, triggers, transactions, and error handling.

Experience

Typically 5+ years of software engineering or DBA experience with strong hands-on experience in relational database design, performance tuning, and administration on the Microsoft Azure platform. Candidates should demonstrate proven expertise managing high-availability Azure SQL workloads, implementing database

DevOps, and leading data migration projects.

Key Deliverables

- High-performance, scalable database schema architectures and optimized T-SQL code.
- Fully configured Azure SQL High Availability and Disaster Recovery configurations with automated failovers.
- Automated database CI/CD deployment pipelines using Dacpac, Bicep/Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
