Lead Robotics Engineer Curriculum & Product
Location: Hyderabad
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on robotics expert to lead curriculum and product development for NxtWave’s robotics curriculum. This isn't a purely academic role. You'll be building the courses for hardware-integrated labs, and the software platform students use to learn, while also leading a team that helps you do it. If you've built real AMR or drone systems and want to turn that experience into the way the next generation of robotics engineers gets trained, this role is built for you.

What You'll Do
- Design and own the end-to-end curriculum for the robotics track, from foundational concepts through advanced, industry-relevant projects
- Build and maintain the software product that delivers this curriculum, a learning and simulation platform, working closely with product and engineering
- Lead a team of 3-5 curriculum engineers, setting technical direction, reviewing content quality, and mentoring them on both robotics depth and teaching craft
- Translate real-world AMR or drone engineering practice (perception, navigation, control, or flight systems, depending on your specialization) into structured, project-based learning content
- Adapt content for multiple delivery formats: recorded and live classes, elective tracks, and vernacular language versions
- Partner with the placements team by providing technical input on hiring pipelines with hardware/robotics companies in India and abroad,
helping shape what "job ready" looks like
- Stay current with the AMR/drone industry and continuously refresh curriculum to match what companies are actually building and hiring for
What We're Looking For
- 3-4 years of relevant, hands-on experience in robotics, with deep expertise in either AMRs or drones (navigation/SLAM/path planning for AMR, or flight controllers/GNC for drones)
- A track record of actually building systems, not just studying them: prototypes, competitions, internships, or shipped products count
- An engineering degree in the robotics field from IIT, NIT, or IIIT is preferred, but not mandatory
- Comfort leading or mentoring others, even informally, with the ability to grow into managing a small team
- Curriculum development experience is a strong plus, but not required if your hands-on depth is solid
- Ability to communicate complex robotics concepts clearly, in both technical and simplified forms
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with both AMR and drone systems, even if expert-level in only one
- Prior exposure to building or contributing to an ed-tech or simulation product
- Experience working with vernacular or multi-format content delivery
What We Offer
- The chance to build a robotics curriculum and product from the ground up, not maintain someone else's system
- Ownership of a growing team and a growing domain within NIAT's Robotics & Physical AI division
Job Overview
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Location: Hyderabad / NIAT Campuses
- Working Days: 6-Day Week
- Role Level: Lead (Senior)
- CTC Range: Competitive & aligned with industry standards
