About the job

1 We develop new parts for our customers. You will help take a new part from drawing to the first positive sample. Half the job is technical work, and half is follow-up to make sure work gets done on time.

What you will do

- Read customer drawings and help plan how to make the part (forging, machining, grinding, heat treatment).
- Make simple drawings and process sheets in AutoCAD / SolidWorks.
- Arrange and attend trials at our plant and at vendors (forging, machining, heat treatment).
- Measure samples and make inspection reports.
- Follow up with vendors daily on tooling, samples and delivery dates.
- Keep records of every trial in Excel: what we did, what went wrong, what we changed.
- Report progress to the Director every day.

What you must know

- Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Tool & Die
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a forging or machining company (auto parts preferred)
- Reading drawings, tolerances and GD&T;
- Measuring instruments: vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, height gauge




- Basics of forging and heat treatment (hardening, case depth)
- Basic setup of CNC / VMC / grinding machines
- AutoCAD 2D, SolidWorks, Excel and email
- Hindi / Punjabi, plus enough English to read and write simple emails

Good to have

- SolidCAM or CNC programming
- Tool & die diploma from CTR Ludhiana
- Experience with cycle parts or tube forming (cycle industry)
- Knowledge of PPAP / inspection reports

Other details

- Vendor visits around Ludhiana; the company will arrange transport.
- This is a hands-on role. We want someone who goes to the shop floor and gets the job done, not only office work.
