Job Role
We are looking for candidates with experience in Design Engineering or Mechanical Drafting who have valuable working knowledge of SolidWorks. Candidates should be able to prepare accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and design documentation for machine components and products.
Candidates with relevant experience as a Junior Design Engineer or Mechanical Draftsman can apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D engineering drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.
- Create detailed mechanical drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
- Assist in designing machine components and assemblies.
- Modify existing drawings and designs as per engineering requirements.
- Prepare and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Maintain design files, drawing revisions, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality Control (QC), and Research and Development (R&D;) teams for design-related clarifications.
- Support senior engineers in product development and design improvements.
- Ensure drawings are accurate and meet company standards.
- Complete assigned design and drafting work within the given timelines.
Skills Required
- Good working knowledge of SolidWorks software.
- Experience in 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
- Ability to read, understand, and prepare mechanical engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of machine components, assemblies, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Basic understanding of engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of BOM preparation and drawing revisions.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with team members.
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in Design Engineering or Mechanical Drafting.
- Candidates with practical SolidWorks experience will be preferred.
- Candidates must be comfortable working at the Umbergaon location.
