Accountant – SMSF
Experience Required
- Knowledge of Australian SMSF taxation and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of BGL Simple Fund 360 preferred
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter (appearing or completed)
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliation
- Fundamentals of accounting is required (journal entries, Debit/ Credit entries etc.)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation and maintenance of SMSF accounting records.
- Prepare and review SMSF financial statements and annual accounts.
- Assist in preparation of SMSF annual tax returns.
- Perform bank, investment and member balance reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate records of SMSF transactions and supporting documents.
- Work with SMSF accounting and compliance software including BGL Simple Fund 360.
- Assist with SMSF compliance and annual audit requirements.
- Assist senior team members with SMSF accounting and taxation tasks.
- Review financial information and identify discrepancies or missing information.
- Ensure proper documentation and accuracy of SMSF records.
- Learn and follow Australian SMSF accounting and compliance processes.
