Billing Engineer – Residential / High-Rise Construction

- Contractor Billing

Check and verify RA bills, final bills, and contractor bills against the BOQ and actual work executed.
- Measurement Quantity Verification

Conduct joint and site measurements and verify executed quantities. Maintain a measurement accuracy target of 98–100%.
- BOQ Quantity Tracking

Track BOQ quantities against actual site execution. Identify excess or short quantities and conduct monthly quantity reconciliation.
- Rate Contract Compliance

Verify rates, specifications, BOQ items, deviations, and contractual conditions. Ensure compliance with approved rates and contract terms.
- Extra Items Deviations

Identify, measure, and document extra items and deviations. Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained before billing extra items.
- Billing Documentation

Maintain Measurement Books (MBs), measurement sheets, bill abstracts, RA bills, and supporting documents. Ensure complete documentation and traceability.
- Coordination with Site Commercial Teams

Coordinate with Site Engineers, Execution, Planning, Quantity Surveying (QS), Accounts, and subcontractors to resolve billing issues. Ensure measurements are recorded progressively and avoid billing backlogs.
- Work Progress Verification

Cross-check billed quantities against actual physical progress at the site.



Prevent overbilling and duplicate billing.
- MIS Reporting

Prepare monthly billing statements, quantity reconciliation reports, and cost reports. Submit reports within project timelines.
- Commercial Technical Knowledge

Understand contract conditions, BOQ, specifications, drawings, and billing procedures. Independently handle routine commercial and billing matters.

Monthly quantity reconciliation completed on time.

Zero unapproved extra-item billing.

No overbilling or duplicate billing.

Qualifications

Qualification – Billing Engineer

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech – Civil)
- Diploma in Civil Engineering (acceptable with relevant experience)

Experience

- 3–4 years of experience in billing and estimation in real estate/construction projects
- Experience in handling contractor billing and client billing preferred
