Description

Signal Labs is looking for an IT Specialist / Support Engineer to keep our growing, multi-

location team productive and secure. Following a recent merger, we have more than doubled in size, and we need a hands-on engineer to own the systems, devices, and support experience our employees rely on every day. You will be the go-to person for end-user support while also building the foundations that scale: identity and access management, device management, onboarding automation, and the IT controls that support our SOC 2 and ISO 27001 programs.

You will work closely with security, engineering, and people teams.

Key Job Responsibilities

Provide responsive Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for hardware, software, accounts, and connectivity across Windows and macOS users, both remote and in office.

Own employee onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning, account setup, and timely access removal.

Administer identity and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID / Okta, Microsoft 365, and Google

Workspace, including SSO, MFA, and group-based access.

Manage endpoints through MDM tools (Intune, Jamf, or similar), enforcing encryption, patching, and security baselines.

Maintain IT asset inventory, software licensing, and vendor relationships.





Set up and support office infrastructure across locations, including networking, Wi-Fi, conferencing, and printing.

Produce evidence and run IT controls for SOC 2 and ISO 27001, such as access reviews, device compliance, and backup checks.

Automate repetitive tasks with scripting and build a knowledge base that helps employees help themselves.

Support the integration of systems and users from acquired teams.

A working Day in the Life - how it looks like

You might start by clearing the support queue, then image and ship laptops for next week’s new hires. Late morning you migrate a group of users from an acquired team into our identity provider. After lunch you troubleshoot conferencing in a new office,

and before signing off you run the monthly device-compliance report for the security team.

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of experience in IT support, desktop engineering, or systems administration.

Hands-on experience supporting Windows and macOS in a business environment.

Experience administering Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace and an identity provider such as Entra ID or Okta.

Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).

Strong customer-service mindset and clear communication with non-technical users.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft 365 / Intune certifications, or Jamf certification.

Scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Experience with ITSM tools such as Jira Service Management, Freshservice, or ServiceNow. Experience supporting SOC 2 or ISO 27001 IT controls.

Experience supporting distributed teams across multiple offices and time zones.

Experience in a fast-growing startup or post-merger environment.
