IT Director – AI, Cybersecurity & Product Engineering

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on technology leader to drive AI initiatives, oversee cybersecurity practices, and guide software/application development. The role combines technical execution, architecture, team leadership, and business alignment without necessarily owning the entire technology organization at CTO level.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead AI/ML and Generative AI initiatives involving LLMs, RAG, AI agents, chatbots, automation, and production AI applications.
- Establish secure development practices; review application/cloud security, vulnerability remediation, data risks, APIs, and third-party integrations.
- Guide architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of secure, scalable applications.
- Work with the CEO and leadership to translate business goals into technical roadmaps, delivery plans, and milestones.
- Oversee cloud architecture, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, backup/recovery, deployment efficiency, and infrastructure costs.
- Mentor AI engineers, developers, cybersecurity specialists, and technical resources; establish coding, documentation, and delivery standards.
- Review technical proposals, solution designs, estimates, and feasibility; join client meetings when needed.




- Promote secure SDLC, access controls, data protection, testing, and appropriate security reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 8–12 years in software engineering, AI engineering, technology architecture, or related technical domains.
- Experience leading technical teams, projects, or engineering initiatives.
- Practical experience building AI/ML or Generative AI solutions and deploying them into production.
- Experience with cybersecurity, application security, cloud security, or secure architecture.
- Strong understanding of software design, system architecture, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
- Working knowledge of Python and modern AI application frameworks; familiarity with LLMs, RAG, and AI agents.
- Knowledge of secure SDLC, vulnerability management, identity/access management, and data protection.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and DevOps/CI/CD practices; solid communication and decision-making skills.

Preferred Profile & Success Measures

- Experience in an IT services company, software development organization, or technology startup; exposure to ISO 27001, NIST, or OWASP is advantageous.
- Success measured by AI initiative delivery, application quality and reliability, security improvements, milestone achievement, and engineering-team effectiveness.
