Role Description This full time remote Technical Consultant role focuses on helping customers implement, configure, and optimize Taxcart’s tax engine within their e-commerce, billing, and ERP environments. On a day-to-day basis, the Technical Consultant collaborates with clients to understand their technical and business requirements, advises on integration best practices, and supports the mapping of tax rules to customer workflows. The role involves providing hands-on technical support, diagnosing and troubleshooting integration issues, and coordinating with internal product and engineering teams to resolve complex problems.

The Technical

Consultant also contributes to documentation, knowledge base articles, and customer training sessions to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing adoption. Success in this role requires a balance of technical aptitude, client-facing consulting skills,



and an interest in tax technology and global commerce.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret customer requirements, analyze transaction data, and identify root causes of technical issues.
- Candidates should possess Consulting skills to gather business needs, recommend integration approaches, and communicate solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to address configuration problems, API or integration errors, and performance issues across diverse systems.
- Candidates should possess Sales-related skills to support pre-sales technical discussions, demos, and solution design in collaboration with the commercial team.
- Relevant experience with APIs, web services, and common integration patterns (e.g., REST, JSON, ERP or e-commerce platforms) is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of sales tax, VAT, GST, or broader indirect tax concepts, or a strong interest in learning them, is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and build trusted relationships with customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple customer engagements, and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
