About the Role

We are looking for a customer-focused Inbound Sales Advocate to support Microsoft's consumer product portfolio through phone and digital chat channels. The role involves understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, and guiding customers through the purchasing journey. The ideal candidate will have strong consultative selling, communication, and objection-handling skills, along with an interest in consumer technology.

The candidate will handle inbound sales inquiries, identify customer requirements, and recommend relevant Microsoft consumer products, software, and add-on solutions. They will use consultative sales techniques to build customer trust, address objections, and support purchasing decisions.

The role also involves documenting customer interactions in CRM systems, capturing customer feedback, and maintaining high standards of privacy, security, and compliance. The candidate will work closely with team leads, trainers, quality coaches, and operations teams while meeting sales, customer satisfaction, and productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle inbound consumer sales inquiries through phone and digital chat.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products and solutions.
- Guide customers through the buying journey using consultative sales techniques.
- Handle customer objections professionally and support purchase conversions.
- Record customer interactions, requirements, and outcomes in CRM/sales systems.
- Schedule follow-ups and maintain customer engagement where appropriate.
- Capture customer feedback and insights to improve the sales experience.
- Meet sales conversion, revenue, customer satisfaction,



and compliance targets.

Required Skills

- Consultative sales, telesales, and techno-sales capabilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage customer conversations through phone and chat.
- Strong probing, objection-handling, and closing skills.
- Working knowledge of CRM/sales tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of consumer electronics, software, and competing products.
- Typing proficiency suitable for real-time chat support.

Preferred / Good to Have

- Experience selling consumer technology products, including laptops, tablets, gaming products, or software subscriptions.
- Exposure to omnichannel sales or digital commerce environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft products such as Surface, Office, Xbox, Windows, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365.
- Experience in multicultural or international customer-facing environments.
- Previous experience in consumer technology, electronics retail, or digital commerce.
- Typing speed of 55 WPM.
- Bachelor's degree.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have approximately 2 years of experience in inbound sales, telesales, or customer-facing sales support, with strong English communication and consultative selling skills. They should be comfortable working in a structured, high-volume sales environment, understand customer needs, and demonstrate cultural awareness relevant to the supported market.
