Role Description This is a full-time, on-site In-House Counsel role based in Nagpur. The In-House Counsel will review, draft, and negotiate a variety of real estate and commercial agreements, including lease deeds, sale agreements, licensing arrangements, and vendor contracts.

The role involves ensuring legal compliance with applicable property, contract, and regulatory laws, conducting legal due diligence on properties, and advising on risk mitigation for transactions. The counsel will collaborate with internal teams on deal structuring, support dispute resolution and liaison with external lawyers where required, and maintain accurate legal documentation and records.



The role also includes monitoring regulatory changes relevant to real estate, developing internal policies, and providing training or guidance to staff on legal and compliance matters.

Qualifications

- Strong real estate and commercial law skills, including experience with property transactions, leases, sale deeds, and title verification.
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements, with attention to detail and risk identification.
- Knowledge of Indian regulatory frameworks relevant to real estate, banking relationships, and corporate governance.
- Ability to conduct legal research, prepare legal opinions, and support dispute management or litigation coordination.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with operations, sales, finance, and external stakeholders.
- Robust organizational and documentation skills, including maintaining contract repositories and compliance records.
- LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized university; enrollment with the Bar Council of India preferred.
- Prior in-house experience in real estate, corporate, or commercial law is highly beneficial; experience in Nagpur or regional markets is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and handle multiple transactions simultaneously.
