Job Overview

We are looking for a commercially driven professional with prior experience in the hotel industry, particularly in hotel sales, banquet sales, wedding sales, MICE, or hospitality business development.

The ideal candidate should understand how hotels operate, how wedding and event packages are structured, and how to negotiate with hotel sales teams to secure competitive deals for clients.

The primary responsibility will be to leverage hotel industry knowledge, qualified relationships, and sales expertise to generate business for VStar, develop strategic hotel partnerships, convert enquiries into confirmed deals, and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Generate new business opportunities for luxury weddings, destination weddings, corporate events, and hotel-related event requirements.
- Leverage existing industry relationships and build solid partnerships with hotels, resorts, banquet properties, and hospitality groups.
- Connect with hotel sales directors, banquet sales teams, revenue managers, and business development teams to explore commercial opportunities.
- Understand hotel room inventory, room blocks, banquet capacities, wedding packages, F&B; minimum spends, venue rental, and event-related commercial terms.
- Negotiate room rates, banquet packages, food and beverage rates, concessions, complimentary rooms, and other benefits wherever applicable.
- Identify suitable hotels and resorts based on client budgets, guest requirements, event dates, and venue preferences.
- Prepare commercial proposals, compare hotel quotations, and present competitive options to clients.
- Follow up on enquiries, negotiate terms, close deals,



and convert prospective clients into confirmed business.
- Develop new corporate and wedding-related accounts and maintain long-term business relationships.
- Coordinate with VStar's sales, wedding planning, and operations teams to ensure client requirements are met.
- Maintain a database of hotel contacts, negotiated rates, leads, proposals, and confirmed business.
- Track sales performance, follow-ups, conversion rates, and revenue opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Prior experience in hotel sales, banquet sales, wedding sales, MICE sales, corporate sales, or hospitality business development.
- Good understanding of hotel wedding operations, banquet facilities, room bookings, F&B; packages, and event-related pricing.
- Strong negotiation, business development, client handling, and deal-closing skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with hotel decision-makers.
- Strong communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Commercial awareness, confidence in pitching proposals, and a result-oriented mindset.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets, email, and sales reporting.
- Willingness to attend client meetings, hotel visits, and business meetings when required.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates currently working with or previously employed by hotels, luxury resorts, banquet properties, or hospitality groups in roles such as:

- Banquet Sales Manager / Executive
- Wedding Sales Manager
- MICE Sales Manager
- Corporate Sales Manager – Hotels
- Hospitality Business Development Manager

Experience with luxury hotels, destination weddings, and premium hospitality properties will be an added advantage.
