Role Description The Generative AI Engineer role at Altraize is a full time hybrid position based in Pune City, with flexibility for some work-from-home. This role involves designing, training, and deploying generative AI models to support and enhance Altraize’s outsourcing services and internal tools.

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, build prototypes, and integrate AI solutions into production systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include data preparation, model evaluation, performance optimization, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of AI pipelines. The role also requires staying current with the latest AI research, proposing improvements, and contributing to scalable, reliable, and secure AI architectures.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in computer science, mathematics, or related fields; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science,



Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI/ML, such as Python, along with experience using libraries and frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI models (e.g., transformers, diffusion models, large language models), including training, fine-tuning, and evaluating model performance.
- Skills in data engineering and preprocessing, including working with structured and unstructured data, building datasets, and applying best practices for data quality and governance.
- Experience with deploying models to production environments, using APIs, containers (e.g., Docker), cloud platforms, or MLOps tools for monitoring, scaling, and versioning.
- Familiarity with software engineering practices, including version control (e.g., Git), code reviews, testing, and collaborative development workflows.
- Understanding of AI ethics, security, and compliance considerations, including responsible AI usage, bias mitigation, and data privacy standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and a hybrid work setting.
- Prior experience in outsourcing, BPO, or service-oriented environments is an advantage, as is exposure to customer support, data management, or technical support domains.
