About the Role

We are looking for a Founding CTO / Technical Co-Founder who can take complete ownership of Sapiogen AI’s technology vision, engineering strategy, architecture, and technical execution.

This is not a conventional CTO role. You will be one of the key technical leaders building the company from the ground up.

You will work closely with the Founder & CEO, Co-Founders, clients, and engineering team to turn business problems into scalable technology solutions.

The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable discussing business requirements with a client, designing system architecture, building prototypes, reviewing code, and leading engineers.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology & Architecture

- Define and own Sapiogen AI’s overall technology strategy and engineering roadmap.
- Design scalable, secure, and production-ready architectures for AI and software engineering projects.
- Lead architecture decisions across AI/ML, Generative AI, Cloud, Data, APIs, Microservices, SaaS, Automation, and Digital Engineering .
- Establish technology standards, engineering practices, development methodologies, and documentation.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging AI and developer technologies that improve engineering velocity.

AI & Product Engineering
- Lead the development of AI-powered products, platforms, agents, automation systems, and enterprise solutions.
- Work with technologies such as LLMs, RAG, AI agents, vector databases, AI APIs, ML systems, cloud platforms, and AI orchestration frameworks .




- Build rapid MVPs and proof-of-concepts and convert them into production-grade systems.
- Drive an AI-first engineering approach using modern AI-assisted development tools.

Solution Architecture & Client Engagement
- Participate in client discovery and technical discussions.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Prepare solution architectures, technical proposals, estimates, technology recommendations, and implementation strategies.
- Act as the technical authority during pre-sales and solutioning.
- Present technical solutions to founders, CTOs, CIOs, and other senior decision-makers.

Engineering Leadership
- Build and lead the engineering team as Sapiogen AI scales.
- Mentor engineers and establish a high-performance engineering culture.
- Conduct technical interviews and help define hiring requirements.
- Review code, architecture, security, performance, and engineering quality.
- Establish CI/CD, testing, observability, DevOps, and deployment standards.

Business & Strategic Contribution
- Work closely with the Founder & CEO on Sapiogen AI’s technology and product strategy.
- Contribute to service offerings, technology partnerships, accelerators, reusable frameworks, and internal IP.
- Help establish Sapiogen AI as a differentiated AI-first software engineering company .
- Identify opportunities to transform recurring client requirements into scalable products and platforms.

What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of strong software engineering experience preferred.
- Experience designing and delivering production-grade software systems.
- Strong understanding of system architecture and engineering best practices.
- Strong hands-on development capability — you should still be able to build, not just manage.
- Experience working with AI/ML or Generative AI is highly preferred.
- Strong client-facing and communication skills.
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to operate in a rapid-moving startup environment.
- Ability to take ownership with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
