- Drawing Interpretation: Study architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Quantity Take-Offs: Measure and extract exact material and work quantities (e.g., concrete volume, steel weight, cable lengths) from digital or paper plans.
- BOQ Preparation: Build and maintain detailed Bills of Quantities broken down by work sections, item descriptions, units, and rates.
- Rate Analysis: Calculate unit rates by analyzing material prices, labor wages, equipment hire, overheads, and contractor profit margins.
- Tender & Bid Support: Assist in preparing cost estimates and documentation for contractor bidding, procurement, and contract management.
- Reconciliation & Cost Control: Compare planned BOQ quantities against actual site execution, monitor material wastage, and handle scope variations or extra-work items.
