Digital Product Designer – UVAVEC

Location: Sri Lanka (mostly remote, with occasional in-person meetings)

UVAVEC is looking for a Digital Product Designer who can turn business problems, rough prototypes, and complex workflows into practical, user-friendly digital products. This role goes beyond designing attractive screens — it requires strong UX thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration with developers.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand user needs and simplify complex workflows.
- Improve prototypes and create high-quality UI designs, interactions, and responsive layouts.
- Build reusable components and design systems.
- Collaborate with developers and product leadership.
- Test user journeys and ensure designs work well during implementation.
- Consider edge cases, accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and real-world usability.

Requirements

- Solid UI/UX fundamentals and experience designing real digital products.
- Strong Figma, prototyping, information architecture,



and interaction-design skills.
- Knowledge of responsive design and design systems.
- HTML/CSS knowledge; React familiarity is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, explain design decisions, and collaborate with developers.
- Typically 2+ years of relevant experience, supported by a strong portfolio. Relevant qualifications are preferred, but practical experience is also accepted.

AI-Assisted Design: Experience using AI tools to support research, prototyping, design exploration, and development is valued.
