Full Stack Developer - Python / Django

About the role

Our client is an established development team maintaining internal web applications for an international industrial technology company. Working language, codebase and documentation are English.

Tasks

- Maintain and extend internal web applications: Python/Django backend, REST APIs, and a frontend built with Django templates, Bootstrap and JavaScript
- Implement features end to end along tracked tickets: design, implementation, automated tests (unit, module, system) and documentation
- Take an active part in code review - submit your work as merge requests and review your colleagues' changes
- Maintain multilingual user interfaces via Django i18n (English and German resource files; German wording is supplied and reviewed by the European team)
- Work with the Django ORM on Microsoft SQL Server, including analysing and improving response times (caching, query optimisation)
- Keep technical and user documentation current with Sphinx

Your profile
- Degree in computer science, engineering informatics or a comparable technical field
- Solid Python and Django experience; HTML, CSS/Bootstrap and JavaScript for the user interface; SQL fundamentals
- Confident with Git and a merge-request workflow (feature branches, code review, rebase)
- Experience writing automated tests
- Ability to write technical documentation (Sphinx, UML tools)
- Nice to have: Docker, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), Linux, dependency management with Poetry
- English at CEFR level C1 or higher - C2 preferred - proven by a recognised certificate (e.g.



Cambridge C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency, IELTS 7.0 or higher, TOEFL iBT 95 or higher). Please attach the certificate to your application.
- Availability for several hours of daily overlap with Central European working hours
- Self-motivated, proactive and reliable; comfortable raising questions across time zones

DevOPS Infrastructure Specialist (m/f/d)

TASKS

- Operation and further development of our CI/CD infrastructure with GitLab CI, GitLab Runner, Jenkins, and Docker
- Administration and maintenance of version control systems such as GitLab, Bitbucket as well as Jira (Cloud and On-Prem)
- Container management with Docker and Harbor (Container Registry)




- Automation of system and deployment processes using Ansible
- Scripting and tool integration with Python for process automation
- Participation in the further development of our DevSecOps strategies
- Design and operation of Azure network connectivity for international sites (Virtual WAN, VPN, ExpressRoute, Azure Virtual Desktop)
- Setup and maintenance of monitoring and observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Setup and operation of an internal package/artifact management system (e.g. Nexus Repository, Artifactory) for formats such as APT, PyPI, and Docker
- Close cooperation with software development and IT security

YOUR PROFILE:
- Degree in computer science, technical computer science or comparable technical qualification
- Solid knowledge in the field of DevOps, especially with the following tools:
- GitLab (CI/CD, Runner), Jenkins, Jira (Cloud and On-Prem), Bitbucket
- Docker, Ansible, Harbor, Python
- Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management
- Understanding of contemporary software development and deployment processes
- Proven, hands-on experience with Azure network services (VNet, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN)
- Experience with monitoring/observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana) and with artifact/package repository management (e.g. Nexus, Artifactory)
- Verified English proficiency at CEFR level C1, C2 preferred (written and spoken); experience working with distributed/international teams across time zones
- Structured and independent way of working, with a demonstrable track record of diagnosing and solving problems hands-on, as well as team spirit
- Ability to work and solve problems independently, largely without relying on AI tools for analysis or technical decision-making
