Overview

This is a senior full stack developer role, backend heavy in Payments, FinTech. The team owns Shared Wallet, a high-impact initiative covering tokenization of payment accounts, digital wallet APIs, and related payment services. The role covers delivering new features, maintaining and enhancing existing features, and handling production issues including PMEs.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and ship Shared Wallet services as a senior developer from architecture through rollout.
- Own technical design decisions for the work delivered, and document them for review.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and hold a high bar for quality.
- Review pull requests, providing explicit feedback on code quality, security, and test coverage.
- Resolve complex production and integration issues across payment flows, using centralized logging and reporting to diagnose and prevent recurrence.
- Support junior team members through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with product, QA, architecture, and security on scope, estimates, and delivery.

Qualifications

- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong C# and .NET/.NET Core backend development.
- Proven experience designing, building, and owning production REST APIs on .NET.
- Working experience with front-end development ([Angular/React/other]),



with the ability to build and maintain UI alongside backend services.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and DynamoDB, including data modeling for NoSQL access patterns.
- Experience designing distributed, API-based systems with attention to reliability, idempotency, and failure handling.
- Experience with centralized logging, monitoring, and reporting for production support.
- Strong grounding in clean code practices and automated testing, with a track record of thorough code reviews.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including documenting designs for cross-team review.
- Working experience using AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day engineering, with sound judgment on reviewing and validating generated code.

Nice to Have:

- Experience in payments or financial services (card/ACH processing, tokenization, PSP or gateway integrations, or digital wallets).
- Working knowledge of secure development for regulated data, ideally PCI DSS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
- Wallet provisioning APIs (Apple Pay, Google Pay) or tokenization and credential migrations
- AWS messaging and serverless (SQS, SNS, Lambda)
- Infrastructure as code, observability, and incident response practices
