1. Purpose of the Role:

Design of end product confirming to customer requirements and supporting equipment for manufacturing of the same.

2. Responsibilities:

a. Function Specific

- Create raw part drawings/ customer drawings and offer drawings.
- Creation of stage plans and ensure feasibility of dimensions therein along with GD&T; considering manufacturing process specifications.
- Design and drafting of production supporting equipments like workholding, jigs & fixtures, gauges and packaging equipment.
- Work together with cross-functional team to identify and provide design solutions in case of deviation or improvement of existing process.
- Aid central design department in their design activities.
- Plan, supervise and manage various design activities for a recent product to ensure completion of these in the stipulated timeline
- Management and provision of authorised drawings to relevant production/development group
- Maintain change management database for product/process change within plant
- Provide trainings for change management, document management, trial implementation, etc.




- Documentation and confirmation of all design activities conducted to improve future performances with regards to time and quality

b. Environment Health and Safety

- Report incidents on time in a given format
- Ensure Air, water or land is not polluted due any of his/her activities
- Follow safety norms inside the premises
- Ensuring safety of his/her guest/visitors inside the premises

c. Operational Excellence (OpEx)

- Look for waste in the process or activity performed with the intent of elimination
- Ensure that the work place is maintained in a neat and clean manner

3. Requirements of profile: a. Education / Qualification:

Technical Draftsman, Bachelor of Engineering, Masters in CAD/CAM/FEM b. Desired past experience:

- Modelling and drafting with Creo, AutoCAD, etc
- Machining of as forged components.
- Understanding of Turning ,Milling ,Grinding, Heat treatment ,Gear Cutting processes and metallurgy.
