Position: Design Head – Elevators

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Design Head to lead our elevator design and engineering team. Candidates with prior experience in the elevator industry will only be preferred. The ideal candidate should have expertise in elevator design, sheet metal fabrication, manufacturing processes, and product development.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the elevator design and engineering team.
- Oversee the design of elevator cabins, doors, frames, brackets, and other mechanical components.
- Review and approve 2D drawings, 3D models, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable elevator codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, installation, and project teams.
- Optimize designs for cost efficiency, material utilization, and ease of manufacturing.
- Manage design modifications, BOMs, technical documentation, and engineering change control.
- Resolve design-related technical issues and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Drive product development, design standardization, and continuous improvement.

Educational Qualification

- B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.

Experience Required

- Preferably 8–12 years of relevant experience in design and engineering, including team leadership.




- Prior experience in the elevator industry is strongly preferred.
- Experience in sheet metal design, fabrication, and manufacturing processes will be an added advantage.
- Experience in leading a design team and managing end-to-end product development is desirable.

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of elevator mechanical design and components.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other relevant CAD software.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal design, fabrication, GD&T;, and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of BOM preparation, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with applicable elevator safety standards and codes.

Salary Negotiable, based on experience and technical expertise.

Preferred Candidate: Candidates currently working in the elevator industry with hands-on experience in elevator design, engineering, and manufacturing will be given preference.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
