We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer (2+ Exp) to support the development of 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation. The ideal candidate should possess robust expertise in Autodesk Inventor and have a solid understanding of structural steel design, fabrication practices, and bulk material handling equipment, particularly conveyor systems
- Create and maintain 3D part models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
- Develop and manage complex assemblies for structural steel and conveyor-related equipment.
- Generate fabrication drawings, weldment drawings, and assembly documentation.
- Configure and maintain Inventor iLogic rules to automate repetitive design activities and improve efficiency.
- Create and update Inventor templates, standards, and design automation tools.
- Collaborate with design engineers to implement engineering changes and product improvements.
- Review models and drawings for manufacturability, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
- Support BOM creation, maintenance, and validation.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
- Ensure documentation is maintained in accordance with PDM/PLM processes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Software Expertise: 2 to 3 years of experience in 3D modelling and drafting using Autodesk Inventor & knowledge of Vault is an advantage
Industry Knowledge: SPMs, Material Handling Equipment & Conveyor Systems
Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience working with structural steel fabrication and industrial equipment design
