Role Description The Cyber Security Intern role at Weskill is a full-time remote position that supports the development and enhancement of the platform’s security posture. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with the analysis of security incidents, monitoring network and application environments for vulnerabilities, and supporting basic security assessments.

The intern will help document security findings, contribute to the implementation of security best practices, and collaborate with mentors to learn and apply cybersecurity frameworks and tools. This role also involves researching emerging threats, participating in internal knowledge-sharing sessions,



and contributing to projects that improve the protection of information assets.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess foundational skills in Cybersecurity and Cyber, including awareness of common threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, with basic understanding of firewalls, network protocols, and secure network configurations.
- Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including familiarity with common application vulnerabilities and secure coding concepts.
- Candidates should possess skills in Information Security, including understanding of data protection, access control, and security policies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail when reviewing logs, configurations, and documentation.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and experience with at least one scripting or programming language is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate with mentors and team members online.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
