CNC / CAM Engineer Production & New Product Development
Key Responsibilities & Required Skills
1. SolidCAM Software: Must have hands-on experience in using SolidCAM for CAM programming,
toolpath generation and CNC machining.
1. New Product Development: Experience in recent product development, process planning, machining
trials and development of components.
1. Tool Room Work: Practical knowledge of tool room activities, tooling, fixtures, machining processes
and component development.
1. CNC Controller Knowledge: Must have working knowledge of both Siemens and FANUC CNC
controllers.
1. Axis Machining: Strong knowledge of 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis machining and related
programming concepts.
1. Machine Knowledge: Must have practical knowledge of VMC, CNC Turning, Wire Cut EDM and
EDM machines.
1. AutoCAD & Coordinate Knowledge: Must have good AutoCAD knowledge and a strong
understanding of drawing coordinates, dimensions, datums and coordinate systems.

Drawing & Process Understanding: Ability to read engineering drawings, understand
GD&T;/basic tolerances and convert design requirements into machining processes.
1. Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot machining issues, optimize cutting parameters and
improve machining quality and productivity.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Hands-on and practical approach toward CNC machining and tool room activities.
- Ability to independently handle CAM programming and support production/development activities.
- Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work closely with production, design and tool room teams.
