Role & Responsibilities

- Lead the complete Engineering and Maintenance department, ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of all resort facilities.
- Manage electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC and air-conditioning systems, DG sets, pumps, water systems, lighting, and other engineering equipment.
- Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of 75 guest rooms and suites, banquet halls, restaurant, spa, swimming pools, lawns, kitchens, and public areas.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply, including DG set operations, electrical load management, and power factor optimisation.
- Monitor and maintain air-conditioning systems, electrical panels, water pumps, hot water systems, STP/WTP, plumbing, and drainage systems.
- Prepare preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Supervise civil repairs, painting, waterproofing, tiling, carpentry, furniture repairs, and renovation projects.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for repairs, servicing, equipment installation, and project execution.
- Maintain engineering stores, spare parts inventory, maintenance records, equipment logs, and departmental expenses.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety systems, electrical safety, statutory inspections, and applicable environmental and safety regulations.
- Monitor energy, water, and fuel consumption and implement measures to reduce operational costs.
- Support wedding functions, corporate events, and large group bookings by ensuring the reliable operation of electrical, HVAC, lighting, water, and other essential systems.
- Lead, train,



and supervise engineering technicians and maintenance staff.
- Coordinate with the Resort Manager and other department heads to resolve maintenance issues promptly and minimise guest inconvenience.
- Prepare maintenance budgets, capital expenditure proposals, daily reports, and monthly engineering performance updates.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering; relevant technical qualifications will also be considered.
- Minimum 58 years of experience in hotel, resort, or hospitality engineering, preferably in a senior engineering role.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, DG sets, pumps, plumbing, water treatment systems, swimming pool equipment, and general building maintenance.
- Experience managing engineering operations in resorts, banquet facilities, restaurants, and large hospitality properties will be preferred.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, energy conservation, vendor management, budgeting, and safety compliance.
- Solid troubleshooting, leadership, planning, and team-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage maintenance operations and coordinate multiple repair and renovation activities.
- Practical, cost-conscious, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
