We are looking for a CAD Draughtsman with experience in furniture drawings and technical detailing. The role will primarily involve creating accurate 2D CAD drawings for furniture and ensuring drawings are production-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D CAD drawings for furniture.
- Prepare technical drawings, dimensions, sections, elevations and details required for production.
- Convert design concepts/sketches into accurate technical drawings.
- Coordinate with the design and production teams to ensure drawings are practical and accurate.
- Make revisions based on design or production requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing standards.
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong understanding of 2D drafting.
- Experience in furniture detailing or related manufacturing drawings.
- Good understanding of dimensions, materials, joinery and construction details.
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to understand and interpret design sketches.
- Basic knowledge of 3D modelling software is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with furniture manufacturers, interior design studios or similar industries.
- Knowledge of 3D software such as SketchUp, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc. will be appreciated.
