Business Development Manager, Technical Sales (Railways)
Years of Experience: 10-15 yrs in Railways
Key responsibilities
- Identifying and qualifying sales opportunities
- Contractors (By segment)
- End users (IR, Zonal railways, Metros, NHRSCL, DFCCIL, NCRTC, Others)
- Collecting information around new requirements (Contractors +IR)
- Service and parts sales
- Working with existing customers/contractors on Health certificates, service and part sales.
- Trials and Demos
- Work with zonal railways and other end users on trials and other requirements
- Support contactors and system integrators for deployment of machinery
- Technical support along with Service team
- Site visits as needed
- Information gathering
- Audit and technical queries and methodology discussions
- New products and technology deployment feasibility
- Technical presentations to Contractors, RDSO and other railway authorities as required for increasing awareness and generating new leads
Skills
- Experience: 10-15 yrs of experience with exposure to track machines, Track management.
- Good technical knowledge of track construction and maintenance practices.
- Understands how to work with International businesses and Indian Railway stakeholders.
- Valuable network across key stakeholders.
Non negotiables
- Technical understanding of Track and Railway technology and components.
- Ability to understand track management methodologies across construction and maintenance.
- Good network in Railway (IR, RDSO, DFCCIL, NHRSCL), metro networks(DMRC, MMRCL, HMRL, BMRC, NCRTC etc) and Railway track contractors across India.
- Good understanding of railway business in India (approval process, tendering process)
- Ability to work on tender documentation, technical documents and other technical know-how.
- Understanding of how to work with an international business and co-ordinate with different internal departments.
- Travel will be 60-80% of the job
- Based in Delhi-NCR
