1. Job Summary

The Bar Captain is responsible for supervising daily bar operations, coordinating bar staff, ensuring excellent guest service, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting efficient beverage service. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and customer-handling skills.
1. Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of bar staff and service personnel.
- Ensure timely and professional service of beverages to guests.
- Welcome guests, assist with beverage selections, and handle guest requests courteously.
- Coordinate with the bar team, F&B; service team, and kitchen to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor bar inventory, stock levels, and beverage requisitions.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and service of beverages according to hotel standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in the bar area.
- Check table setup, glassware, bar equipment, and service readiness before operations.
- Monitor billing accuracy and ensure bills are settled according to hotel procedures.
- Train and guide junior staff on service standards and operating procedures.




- Handle guest complaints professionally and report major issues to the manager.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and applicable liquor licensing regulations.

1. Qualifications and Requirements

- Minimum qualification: BSc in hotel management or diploma in hotel management or a relevant hospitality qualification.
- Previous experience in a bar or hotel F&B; service is preferred.
- Good knowledge of beverages, cocktails, mocktails, and bar service procedures.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to supervise a team and work under pressure.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and valuable interpersonal skills.
