We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Barista to prepare high-quality coffee and beverages, maintain café standards, and deliver excellent customer service at Flax Healthy Living.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, smoothies, and other beverages as per company standards.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage equipment.
- Ensure consistency in beverage quality, taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards at the beverage counter.
- Manage beverage ingredients, stock levels, and daily mise en place.
- Follow FIFO practices and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Handle customer orders professionally and ensure timely service.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and front-of-house team for smooth café operations.
- Monitor wastage and follow standard recipes and portion control.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance requirements.
- Support billing, order handling,



and café opening and closing activities as required.

Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience as a Barista in a café, restaurant, or QSR.
- Knowledge of espresso preparation, coffee machines, and beverage-making techniques.
- Familiarity with smoothies, teas, and other café beverages.
- Positive communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of hygiene, food safety, and stock handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays as per the roster.
