We are building scalable B2B and consumer-facing technology platforms to support digital rewards, transactions, integrations and corporate engagement programs.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL and REST APIs. The ideal candidate should have experience building secure, scalable and transaction-intensive backend systems and be comfortable working with third-party APIs, databases, payments and production environments. You will work closely with our Technical Lead / Full Stack Architect, frontend and mobile development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript
- Build scalable and secure REST APIs
- Integrate third-party APIs, webhooks and external services
- Work extensively with PostgreSQL, including schema design, queries, indexing and optimisation
- Build reliable order, payment and transaction workflows
- Implement authentication, authorization and RBAC
- Handle retries, timeouts, idempotency and duplicate transaction scenarios
- Use Redis for caching and background-processing requirements
- Write clean,



reusable and production-ready code
- Participate in code reviews, debugging and performance optimisation
- Collaborate with React/Next.js and Flutter developers
- Maintain API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI
- Troubleshoot staging and production issues

Required Skills:

- Node.js – Minimum 3+ years of strong hands-on experience preferred
- NestJS & TypeScript
- Express.js
- PostgreSQL / SQL
- Strong understanding of database design, relationships, transactions, indexing and query optimisation
- REST APIs & third-party API integrations
- Webhooks and API failure handling
- JWT / Authentication / Authorization / RBAC
- Redis / Caching
- Git & collaborative development workflows
- Unit and integration testing
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Positive to Have : AWS / Cloud, Docker, BullMQ / RabbitMQ / AWS SQS, Payment Gateway Integrations, CI/CD, Microservices / Event-Driven Architecture, Logging & monitoring tools

Preferred Industry Experience:

Candidates with experience in FinTech, Digital Gift Cards / Vouchers, Payments, Digital Wallets, Rewards & Loyalty, E-commerce or transaction-heavy platforms will be highly preferred.

Experience with voucher APIs, payment systems, reconciliation or high-volume third-party integrations will be an added advantage.

Someone who is genuinely hands-on, understands backend systems beyond basic CRUD APIs, can independently own assigned modules, thinks carefully about transaction reliability and data consistency, and can work effectively under the guidance of a Technical Lead / Architect.
