Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced L2/L3 Cloud Security Support Engineer to support and enhance cloud security operations across Azure-based environments. The candidate will monitor, manage, and improve the security posture of cloud infrastructure, platforms, and applications while supporting client’s security and regulatory requirements.

Mandatory Skills

 Azure Native Security Services, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure

Firewall, Azure Key Vault, Azure Policy, Azure Security Centre, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and

Privileged Identity Management (PIM).

Secondary Skills

 Prisma Cloud, including Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Cloud Workload Protection

(CWP), vulnerability and compliance management, and security alert investigation and remediation.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Security Operations

 Support and maintain Zero Trust security controls across cloud-hosted infrastructure, platforms, and applications.

 Monitor, assess, and report security posture across Azure IaaS, PaaS, Kubernetes, and SaaS environments.

 Investigate and respond to security alerts generated from Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud,

Prisma Cloud, and other enterprise security platforms.

Vulnerability and Risk Management

 Coordinate vulnerability management activities, including identification, assessment, tracking,

remediation, exception handling, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.

 Work with infrastructure, application, and platform teams to drive timely remediation of identified security findings.

 Manage risk exceptions and support compliance reporting activities.

Application and Platform Security

 Support application security reviews, vulnerability assessments, remediation coordination, and remediation validation.

 Perform secure configuration reviews and ensure adherence to approved cloud security standards.

 Validate cloud security controls against organisational and regulatory requirements.





Incident Response and Threat Management

 Participate in security incident investigation, containment, recovery, and root-cause analysis activities.

 Support threat detection, threat hunting, and continuous security monitoring processes.

 Assist with corrective and preventive security measures.

Identity and Access Security

 Conduct periodic access reviews and entitlement validations.

 Enforce identity governance, privileged access management, and least-privilege principles aligned with

Zero Trust.

Internal - General

Use

 Support Microsoft Entra ID and Privileged Identity Management operations.

Governance, Audit and Compliance

 Support security audits, governance reviews, regulatory compliance, evidence collection, and reporting.

 Maintain security operational procedures, remediation runbooks, knowledge base articles, and related documentation.

Required Experience

 4 to 8 years of experience in cloud security operations or cybersecurity support.

 Hands-on experience with Azure Native Security Services and Microsoft Sentinel.

 Experience in cloud vulnerability management, remediation tracking, and security event response.

 Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, Azure networking, IAM, security controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.

 Ability to provide L2 operational support in a 24x7 environment.

Preferred Certifications

 Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).

 Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).

 Prisma Cloud Certified Professional.

 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).

 AWS Security Specialty or equivalent cloud security certification.
