Assistant Manager – Key Accounts

Location: Ranchi

Reports to: Regional Manager, Key Account

Role Summary

Drives revenue growth across assigned key accounts by developing and executing business plans, sales strategies, and profit targets while coordinating cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop overall business plan for key accounts, including sales strategy, budgeting, profit goals and market segmentation.
- Lead the end‑to‑end sales cycle: prospecting, demos, proposal preparation, negotiation, closing, and post‑sale services
- Manage daily sales pipeline calls, weekly huddles and monthly performance reviews to keep targets on track.
- Conduct market research, identify new business opportunities and implement national sales plans for product portfolios
- Handle inbound inquiries via website chats, email, and calls, providing technical knowledge and consultative solutions.
- Prepare detailed sales reports, forecast trends, and analyse data to drive continuous improvement of sales processes.
- Set individual targets and monitor KPI achievement.




- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients to enable cross‑selling and upsell opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3‑6 years of experience in business development, key‑account management and project sales
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and profit margins.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close complex deals.
- Technical aptitude to understand product specifications and articulate value propositions.
- Excellent communication, presentation and PR skills; comfortable conducting demos and webinars.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field.
- Ability to work in a fast‑changing environment and adapt sales tactics accordingly.
