Role & responsibilities:

We are launching a real-time Asian markets newsflow service with a US partner, covering Indian and Asia-Pacific equities and macro events for retail and professional clients. As Markets News Curator, you will run live coverage during Asian trading hours.

- Track Indian and Asian equity markets live (Nifty, Sensex, Hang Seng, Nikkei, regional markets) and publish short updates: timestamp, ticker, one-line headline, brief context.
- Monitor NSE/BSE filings, SEBI and RBI announcements, newswires, and regional exchanges and regulators (HKEX, SGX, TSE, MAS, BoJ, PBoC) depending on your assigned market.
- Prioritise market-moving news: earnings surprises, central bank decisions, regulatory actions, block deals, sector-moving headlines.
- Prepare three daily notes: Asia Pre-Open (06:30 IST), Midday Wrap (12:30 IST) and Asia Close (15:45 IST).
- Follow editorial templates set by the Senior Editor, with zero errors on tickers and numbers.
- Write clean, neutral, professional English. No copying from wires or filings; paraphrase tightly and source every non-obvious claim.

Preferred candidate profile:

- Graduate in finance, economics, commerce, business or a quantitative field. CFA candidates preferred.
- Solid understanding of stock markets, earnings, P/E, bond yields, credit spreads and central bank policy.




- Working knowledge of Indian equities and/or Greater China, Japan or ASEAN markets.
- Excellent written English in a Reuters/Bloomberg style: crisp, accurate, neutral.
- Fast, disciplined and reliable; able to start at 06:00 IST every trading day.
- Stable broadband, quiet workspace and a modern laptop.
- Comfortable with Excel, Slack and Google Workspace. Bloomberg, Refinitiv or FactSet experience is a strong plus.
- Good to have: experience in equity research, a financial newsroom, a broking house or a trading desk; reading ability in Hindi, Mandarin, Japanese or Bahasa Indonesia; experience using AI tools in research or news workflows.

- Fully remote, Monday to Friday, approx. 06:00 to 16:00 IST.
- INR 35,000/month fixed plus a performance bonus linked to accuracy and output.

Selection process:

- Shortlisting on CV and screening answers.
- Paid written test (~2 hours): produce 30 market updates from one hour of raw newsflow.
- Paid live trial (half shift) reviewed by the Senior Editor.
- Offer with 90-day probation.
