Role Description The Agency Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Shimoga.

The Agency

Manager will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and developing a high-performing team of insurance advisors and agents, ensuring they are aligned with ABHICL’s product offerings and customer service standards. Daily activities include setting sales targets, monitoring performance metrics, guiding the team on effective prospecting, and supporting them in closing health insurance policies. The role involves conducting regular training and mentoring sessions, managing branch-level operations,



and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

The Agency

Manager will also focus on building strong customer relationships, resolving escalations, and driving agency business growth in the Shimoga region through local market insights and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in agency management, sales leadership, or insurance distribution, preferably in health or life insurance.
- Solid skills in team recruitment, coaching, and performance management, with the ability to motivate and develop agents and advisors.
- Competence in sales planning, target setting, and pipeline management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding business goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers, agency partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of insurance products, basic underwriting concepts, and regulatory guidelines relevant to health insurance.
- Ability to work on-site in Shimoga, with strong local market awareness and willingness to travel within the region as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification in insurance is an advantage.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, CRM tools, and digital sales platforms used for policy issuance and customer servicing.
