Role & responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Tally Prime, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.

- Handle GST compliance, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B preparation and filing, GSTR-2B reconciliation, Input Tax Credit (ITC) tracking, and GST ledger reconciliation.

- Manage TDS calculations, deductions, challan payments, quarterly return filing, and reconciliation of TDS balances.

- Ensure timely completion of statutory compliances, maintain a compliance calendar, and track all applicable filing and payment deadlines.

- Perform bank, vendor, customer, and inter-ledger reconciliations.

- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure proper documentation of invoices, vouchers, challans, and statutory records.

- Assist in monthly closing of accounts and preparation of trial balance, expense statements, and financial reports.

- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, and government departments for audits, assessments, notices, and other compliance matters.

- Monitor accounts payable, receivable, outstanding balances, and advances.

- Prepare periodic MIS reports and support management with accounting and compliance-related information.





- Ensure accuracy of accounting entries and adherence to internal financial controls and company policies.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: B.Com / M.Com; CA Inter or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

- Experience: 17 years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.

- Solid hands-on knowledge of Tally Prime is essential.

- Practical experience in GST return filing, GSTR-2B reconciliation, ITC management, and TDS compliance.

- Good understanding of applicable statutory and tax compliance requirements.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, and data reconciliation.

- Experience in handling statutory audits and coordinating with external consultants.

- Experience in a manufacturing, trading, or export-oriented company will be an added advantage.

- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and good documentation practices.

- Ability to independently manage compliance deadlines, resolve discrepancies, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
