Job Description

Job Summary : The Nursing Supervisor oversees nursing staff and daily patient care operations to ensure high-quality, protected, and efficient healthcare services. The role involves supervising nursing personnel, coordinating patient care activities, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting clinical excellence across assigned units or shifts.

Key Responsibilities : Clinical Supervision :

- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during assigned shifts.
- Monitor patient care delivery to ensure compliance with clinical standards and policies.
- Provide guidance and support to nurses in managing complex patient care situations.
- Assist in resolving clinical and operational issues.

Staff Management :

- Assign duties and schedules to nursing personnel.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
- Participate in recruitment, orientation, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and coordinate shift coverage.

Quality & Patient Safety :

- Promote patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor adherence to infection control, medication administration, and patient care protocols.




- Investigate incidents, complaints, and adverse events and prepare reports.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.

Operational Management :

- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
- Manage resources, supplies, and equipment effectively.
- Collaborate with physicians, department heads, and multidisciplinary teams.

Communication & Leadership :

- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and management.
- Conduct shift briefings and staff meetings.
- Support conflict resolution and foster a positive work environment.
- Lead emergency response and crisis management activities when required.

Qualifications : Education :

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
