We are looking for a customer-oriented and proactive Retail Sales Associate to join our team. You will be the face of our showroom, helping homeowners, architects, and contractors find the perfect materials for their interior projects. Key Responsibilities - Customer Consultation: Greet customers and provide expert advice on plywood grades, laminate textures, and hardware functionality. - Sales & Quotations: Assist customers in selecting products, calculate material requirements, and provide accurate price quotes. - Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of laminates, veneers, and hardware; ensure the display area is organized and visually appealing. - Order Processing: Handle billing, coordinate with the warehouse for deliveries, and follow up on customer orders. - Relationship Building:
Maintain strong relationships with local carpenters and interior designers to encourage repeat business. Required Skills & Qualifications - Knowledge: Basic understanding of wood types (BWP, BWR, MR grade) and hardware brands. - Communication: Excellent verbal communication and the ability to explain technical details simply. - Mathematics: Ability to perform quick calculations for square footage and billing. - Experience: Previous experience in hardware, timber, or construction material retail is a major plus. - Physical Ability: Comfortable standing for long periods and occasionally assisting with light material handling.
