Job Summary : The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring secure and effective use of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, providing patient counseling, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves collaboration with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and interpret physician prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
- Dispense medications and ensure correct dosage and labeling
- Provide counseling to patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and storage
- Monitor patient medication therapy and recommend adjustments when necessary
- Maintain proper records and documentation as per legal and regulatory requirements
- Manage inventory, stock levels, and expiration dates of medications
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, health and safety regulations
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff (if applicable)
- Handle insurance claims and billing processes
- Participate in health promotion and awareness programs
Requirements : D.Pharm / B.Pharm qualification.
Minimum 0 to 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience.
Sound knowledge of medical terminology and medicines.
Good communication and customer service skills.
