We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer who has good SQL knowledge, basic knowledge of Unix commands, and the ability to handle customer technical queries. The candidate should be comfortable analysing issues, troubleshooting application problems, and working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure issues are resolved on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle customer queries and provide technical support for application-related issues.
Analyse data and troubleshoot issues using SQL queries.
Identify data discrepancies and investigate the root cause of reported issues.
Use basic Unix commands to check application logs, search for errors, and perform simple file operations.
Coordinate with product team and other technical teams to resolve complex issues.
Communicate with customers regularly and provide updates on issue status and resolution.
Track support tickets and ensure issues are resolved within agreed timelines.
Assist with data validation, testing, and verification of fixes.
Maintain proper documentation of issues, findings, and resolutions.
Handle customer calls and escalations professionally.
Skills Required:
BE / B.Tech / MCA qualification.
5+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 3 years in application support or technical support.
Strong knowledge of SQL queries, joins, subqueries, and data analysis.
Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux commands
Ability to check application logs and perform basic troubleshooting.
Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work with different teams and manage multiple issues effectively.
Should be willing to work at customer location
Additional Advantage:
Experience in production support or enterprise application / product support.
Familiarity with ticketing tools and SLA-based support.
Experience in banking or financial applications.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate should have strong SQL skills, basic Unix knowledge, and good communication skills. They should be proactive in understanding customer issues, comfortable with technical troubleshooting, and capable of coordinating with internal teams to deliver timely solutions.
