We are looking for a Python Data Engineer to build and maintain reliable data pipelines, transform data for analytics and AI applications, and improve the quality and performance of our data systems. The role also involves using AI development tools to speed up implementation while reviewing their output for correctness and security.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain batch and near real-time data pipelines using Python and SQL.
Ingest data from APIs, databases, files, and cloud storage; clean and transform it for downstream use.
Design data models and optimize queries, pipeline performance, and processing costs.
Add data quality checks, monitoring, logging, and clear failure handling.
Write tests, review code,
and support deployments through Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Required skills
Experience in data engineering or a related software engineering role.
Solid Python and SQL skills, including experience building production data pipelines.
Working knowledge of Git, automated testing, and CI/CD.
Nice to have
Experience with Spark, Kafka, or a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
Experience preparing data for machine learning or agentic AI workflows.
Familiarity with Docker and infrastructure as code.
