- Design, implement, and maintain DB2 databases on IBM iSeries platforms.
- Perform regular backups of production databases to ensure data integrity and recovery in case of system failures.
- Troubleshoot database performance issues, optimize query execution times, and resolve errors using SQL commands.
- Collaborate with development teams to design recent database schema changes and migrations.
Job Requirements :
- 5-9 years of experience in DBMS administration with expertise in IBM iSeries (AS400) systems.
- Strong understanding of database design principles, including normalization and denormalization techniques.
- Proficiency in performing database backups using various tools such as Tape Libraries or Cloud Backup Services like AWS S3 Bucket.
