- Capacity Planning & Forecasting: Analyze historical traffic data, growth trends, and business projections to model future network requirements and prevent congestion.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously track bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss, and CPU/memory usage across routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud connectivity.
- Resource Optimization: Identify underutilized or overprovisioned resources to optimize infrastructure costs without compromising SLA performance.
- Reporting & Metrics: Create regular capacity dashboards and executive reports detailing utilization trends, risk assessments, and recommended upgrades.
- Collaboration & Alignment: Work closely with Network Architecture, Systems Engineering, Telecom vendors, and Finance to plan infrastructure expansions and procurement timelines.
- Incident Escalation & Mitigation: Support operational teams during capacity-related outages or unexpected traffic spikes, implementing short-term mitigation strategies.
