Role Description The Furniture Designer will work full time on-site in Mumbai, collaborating with the design team to develop original furniture concepts from initial sketches to final production-ready designs. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating detailed drawings and 3D models, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating with carpenters and fabricators to ensure design fidelity and quality. The role could involve contributing to interior design projects by aligning furniture design with spatial layouts, client preferences, and functional requirements. The Furniture Designer will participate in client meetings, support prototyping and sampling,



and help optimize designs for durability and usability while maintaining the studio’s design standards. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Furniture Design and Product Design, including concept development, rendering, and technical detailing.
• Candidates should possess hands-on understanding of Carpentry and Furniture construction, including materials, joinery, and fabrication processes.
• Candidates should possess skills in Interior Design to ensure furniture integrates effectively with spatial planning and overall project aesthetics.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of furniture industry trends, ergonomics, and practical use of furniture in residential and commercial settings.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., CAD tools, 3D modeling software) and the ability to produce clear technical drawings and specifications.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Furniture Design, Product Design, Interior Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work on-site with workshop teams, and effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with prototyping, material sourcing, and vendor coordination in a design or manufacturing environment is a key advantage.
