Job Description - Sales Officer (FMCG) Job Title: Sales Officer - General Trade (GT) Location: Ballia, Uttar Pradesh Industry: FMCG Experience: 3-5 Years Education: Graduate (Mandatory) Channel: General Trade (GT) Job Summary We are looking for a dynamic and target-oriented Sales Officer with 3-5 years of experience in FMCG General Trade sales. The candidate will be responsible for managing distributors, driving primary and secondary sales, expanding retail distribution, and ensuring effective market coverage across the assigned territory. Key Responsibilities Achieve monthly and quarterly primary and secondary sales targets. Manage distributor relationships, including order generation, stock availability, and collections. Develop and execute beat plans to ensure effective territory coverage. Drive retail outlet expansion, product availability, visibility, and merchandising. Conduct regular market visits to monitor sales performance and retailer engagement. Build and maintain solid relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers. Identify new business opportunities and expand the distribution network. Monitor competitor activities, market trends,



and customer feedback. Ensure timely order processing, stock management, and sales reporting. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and market updates. Required Skills and Qualifications Graduate in any discipline (mandatory). 3-5 years of relevant experience in FMCG sales, preferably in General Trade. Strong knowledge of distributor management, primary and secondary sales, and retail execution. Experience in beat planning, territory management, and outlet coverage. Good communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Target-oriented approach with strong market execution capabilities. Familiarity with sales reporting and basic MS Excel. Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates currently working in FMCG, food products, personal care, home care, or consumer goods companies. Candidates with hands-on experience in distributor handling and retailer-level sales. Candidates familiar with the Prayagraj market and surrounding territories will be preferred.
