Job Title: Project Manager – India Business Development & Product Launch

Location:
Sri Lanka (with travel to India as required) OR India Position Overview Horizon Group USA is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate the development and launch of a licensed product line in India. This person will connect with product development, design, licensing, sourcing, manufacturing, sales, and distribution to bring products to market. The initial focus will be a licensed product line manufactured and sold in India. The role requires someone who can turn business objectives into clear project plans, manage multiple partners and workstreams, and keep teams accountable for timelines, costs, quality, and launch readiness.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Launch Management
• Build and manage the overall project roadmap, from initial product concepts through manufacturing, distribution, and commercial launch.
• Establish timelines, milestones, responsibilities, and dependencies across internal teams and external partners.
• Track progress, identify potential delays, and drive solutions to keep projects moving.
• Provide transparent updates to leadership on project status, costs, risks, and decisions needed.
• Develop repeatable processes to support future product launches and business expansion in India. Product Development, Design & Licensing
• Identify target licensors and liaise with the Head of International Licensing to secure license agreements.
• Coordinate with product development and design teams to create an assortment suited to Indian consumers, retail channels, and target price points.
• Manage the flow of product briefs, artwork, packaging, samples, and revisions.
• Coordinate submissions and approvals with licensors,



ensuring requirements and approval deadlines are incorporated into the project schedule.
• Maintain clear records of approved designs, specifications, and changes so all partners work from the correct information. Sourcing & Manufacturing
• Work with sourcing team to identify, evaluate, and onboard manufacturing and packaging partners in India.
• Coordinate quotations, costing, samples, tooling, production planning, and manufacturing schedules.
• Track minimum order quantities, lead times, capacity, and cost targets.
• Partner with quality and compliance specialists to ensure product testing, labeling, packaging, and documentation requirements are completed before launch.
• Monitor production readiness and execution, addressing issues that could affect quality, cost, or delivery. Sales, Distribution & Market Readiness
• Coordinate with sales teams and/or local distribution partners to align product availability with customer needs and launch plans.
• Support partner evaluation and onboarding by organizing requirements, deliverables, and follow-up actions.
• Ensure sales teams and distributors receive current product information, samples, pricing inputs, and launch materials.
• Connect sales forecasts and customer commitments with production and inventory planning.
• Coordinate launch logistics and product delivery with relevant partners.
• Gather feedback after launch and translate it into actions for product improvements,



replenishment, and future assortment development. Qualifications & Experience
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in project management, product development, sourcing, manufacturing coordination, or consumer product launches required.
• Experience managing products from concept through production and market launch required.
• Familiarity with a manufacturing and commercial environment; experience working with Indian suppliers, distributors, or retailers is highly preferred.
• Experience with toys, arts and crafts, children’s products, or other consumer goods is preferred.
• Experience working with licensed brands and licensor approval processes is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of product costing, manufacturing lead times, quality requirements, and distribution planning required.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and partners.
• Ability to work independently, resolve problems, and escalate decisions at the right time.
• Strong written and spoken English required; relevant Indian language skills are an advantage.
• Willingness and ability to travel to India as needed. What Success Looks Like
