Position Summary:

To help drive this next chapter, we're seeking a talented and innovative Senior Engineer, Quality Engineering to join our Test Environment & Data Management organization. This role designs, supports, and optimizes enterprise test environments, service virtualization solutions, and test data management capabilities that enable efficient software delivery across DIRECTV. You will partner with engineering, quality, Dev Ops, and platform teams to improve environment availability, automation, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate combines strong expertise in environment management, service virtualization, cloud-native technologies, and automation engineering with a commitment to engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

Environment Engineering:

- Support enterprise test environment management activities.
- Manage environment provisioning, configuration, and maintenance processes.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure environment readiness and availability.
- Troubleshoot complex environment-related issues and implement sustainable solutions.

Service Virtualization & Automation:

- Develop and maintain service virtualization and API mocking capabilities.
- Support automated environment provisioning and lifecycle management activities.
- Build automation solutions that improve testing efficiency and quality outcomes.
- Contribute to platform modernization initiatives through automation and engineering best practices.

Platform Reliability & Innovation:

- Improve environment observability and operational monitoring capabilities.




- Support cloud-native testing and delivery environments.
- Evaluate emerging tools and technologies that improve engineering productivity.
- Contribute to AI-enabled testing and quality engineering modernization efforts

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

- 4-6 years of software engineering experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise testing environments.
- Experience with service virtualization and API mocking technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud-native platforms and containerized environments.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Experience operating within Agile software development environments.
