Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Exchange Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise messaging solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft Exchange Online, Exchange Server On-Premises, and SMTP technologies (including Postfix), with strong troubleshooting skills across complex messaging scenarios such as DAGs, transport queues, hybrid mail flow, and outlook calendar-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

Administration & Support

o Manage and maintain Exchange Online and Exchange Server On-Premises environments.

o Configure and support Postfix SMTP relays and related mail routing infrastructure.

o Monitor Database Availability Groups (DAGs), transport queues, and overall system health.

o Troubleshoot hybrid mail flow, free/busy issues, calendar delegate problems, and permission-related issues.

o Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for messaging-related incidents and service requests.

Design & Implementation

o Plan and execute migrations between On-Premises Exchange and Exchange Online (Office 365).

o Design and implement secure mail flow, hybrid configurations, and coexistence strategies.

o Integrate messaging systems with third-party applications and services.

Security & Compliance

o Implement and manage anti-spam, anti-malware, and email security policies.

o Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards (e.g.,



GDPR, HIPAA).

o Configure and maintain DKIM, SPF, DMARC records for email authentication.

Optimization & Automation

o Develop scripts (Power Shell, Bash, etc.) to automate routine tasks and reporting.

o Optimize system performance and capacity planning.

o Document processes, configurations, and operational procedures.

Required Skillset

Core Expertise

o Strong hands-on experience with Exchange Online (Office 365).

o Deep knowledge of Exchange Server On-Premises (2016/2019) administration.

o Proficiency with Postfix SMTP configuration and troubleshooting.

o Expertise in DAG management, transport queues, hybrid mail flow troubleshooting.

o Ability to resolve free/busy issues, calendar delegate problems, and permission-related issues.

Technical Skills

o Power Shell scripting for Exchange and Office 365 automation.

o Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and networking fundamentals.

o Experience with hybrid Exchange deployments.

o Familiarity with email security protocols (TLS, DKIM, SPF, DMARC).

Soft Skills

o Robust problem-solving and analytical abilities.

o Excellent communication and documentation skills.

o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
